Capturing Imaginative Chaos
Leonora Hamill is an artist based in Milan and London who works primarily in moving image and photography.
Born in Paris in 1978, she trained as an art historian at the Courtauld Institute in London and at the University of Oxford. She graduated from the International Center of Photography in New York in 2003 and received her MA and MPhil in Photography from the Royal College of Art in 2008 and 2011.
Hamill was the 2011 artist-in-residence at the Psychiatric Hospital of Rouffach in Alsace, France and is the 2012 winner of the Prix HSBC pour la Photography. She has exhibited in Europe, the US, Australia, Japan and China and will be exhibiting images from her ‘Art in Progress’ series at the Galerie Seine 51 in Paris from June 14th to July 7th.
