Summer Sound: Bombay Bicycle Club
Hailing from Crouch End, London, indie rock band Bombay Bicycle Club have a catchy bunch of head bopping tunes to freshen up your summer jams. The group is comprised of Jack Steadman (lead vocals, guitar), Jamie MacColl (guitar), Ed Nash (bass) and Suren de Saram (drums) who formed in their entirety in 2006.
They won Virgin Mobile’s “Road to V” competition back in 2006 and having been rising more and more in the charts ever since. Here’s a selection of work from their most recent album release titled A Different Kind of Fix.
“Shuffle” is guaranteed to get you feeling bouncy and airy – I can barely keep my feet from tapping right now. ”Lights Out, Words Gone” is a bit more smooth and chilled out and breezy. Their latest release, “How Can You Swallow So Much Sleep” is a great track to set as your morning alarm tone, just listen to the lyrics (they repeat over and over in a way that surprisingly works very well).
