From the Oculi
Australian photographer Tamara Dean is a member of a team of photographers called the Oculi which support contemporary culture in Australia. Dean’s work delves deep into the themes of ritual, intimacy, and decay with a distinct feeling of severity in darkness. The humanity that she evokes in these portrayals are fragile and vulnerable, best illustrated in her recent series titled Only Human.
