10 Must-Have Extended Mixes
If you’re at all like me, you get sick of consistently choosing which songs to listen to whether it be in the car, at the gym, or at home. Here are ten of my favorite extended mixes that will keep your ears occupied for over an hour.
Swedish House Mafia live at Madison Square Garden:If you enjoy an upbeat, hard house mix full of recognizable songs (by the likes of Adele, Florence and the Machine, Tinie Tempah, David Guetta, Daft Punk, Cold Play, and more) then this is one is for you.
Deadmau5 live @ Space, Ibiza: mau5beats.
Mat Zo Fun Bus Mix: Hard-hitting, heavy progressive bangers.
Jack Beats Essential Mix: There’s just nothing like the sound of the jack beat. Fill your ears with their wobbles for 2 whole hours.
Jamie XX Essential Mix: The XX continue to amaze me with their low key, yet riveting productions. Jamie (one of the four members) does not disappoint with slower, funky mix.
2ManyDJs live @ Leeds, UK: This live set tops my list of mixes because it hits so close to home. Overflowing with songs by Van Halen, Motorhead, Eurythmics, Clash, The Specials, and Nirvana, this set will not fail to please all you once-classic rock but now-electronic kids.
The 2 Bears Essential Mix: If you like Hot Chip, then you gotta catch this mix. The 2 Bears is a London duo consisting of Joe Goddard (of Hot Chip) and Raf Rundell. This essential mix offers a grimy yet poppy funk that is truly their own.
Fatboy Slim Halloween Mix 2011: Because who doesn’t love the funky sounds of Fatboy slim?
Above an Beyond: 2011 Essential Mix: Creativity and heavy trance bass lines are what keep me listening to this one.
Porter Robinson live @ Hull: If you are looking for something a little heavier, then Porter Robinson’s live set from Hull is what you need.
