Coachella Goes to Sea
Since Coachella’s ominous Facebook post yesterday stating “Tuesday, 6 PM PDT,” rumors have been flying around like crazy. Change of location? Cancellation? 3rd Weekend?
Today, details began to surface through the Los Angeles Times and the New York Times but, as of 1:29 pm, it seems official that Coachella will be heading to sea. Coachella posted a photo on their Facebook page with a line-up of 22 artists over an image with a cruise ship. The artists include Hot Chip, Pulp, Yeasayer, Sleigh Bells, James Murphy, and Simian Mobile Disco among others. The first voyage will last 3 days and will head to the Bahamas, while the second voyage will be 4-day destined for Jamaica. Prices will start at $500 a person and will reach up to $9,000 for the sky suite.
