LinkedIn Home Page Goes for a New Look
As of Monday, July 16, LinkedIn’s enterprise home page layout for a more dynamic, Facebook-esque design. The new organization is to roll out over the next few weeks, offering a global navigation bar, a less cluttered look, and more accessible commenting among other tactical improvements. The designers looked at what features people use the most and pored over several years of data from usability research on the site according to a LinkedIn blog post on the new layout.
“This simpler and cleaner design makes it easier to navigate the page and quickly find the updates you’re looking for – whether that’s a news article your boss has recently shared or it’s to see who has just started a new job,” writes Caroline Gaffney, a product manager at LinkedIn, in a blog post explaining the move.
