Primordial Earth Gods

Fulvio Di Piazza’s “Ashes to Ashes” resurrects a primordial Earth. A place where natural elements erupt anthropomorphically to form divine figures. Spewing magma, pluming clouds of smoke, lush moss and gnarled tree branches form animal and human shapes. Di Piazza’s Earth-centered, mythological and dark style captivates viewers and transports them to a new world. In my eyes, Fulvio is able to personify the ancient tectonic shifts and what was the formation of the Earth as we know it today.

In my search of music to pride a soundtrack to Fulvio’s incredible paintings, I found Rogan’s Heavy Green Machine – its too good. Imagine the Earth shifting, crushing, smoking, and spewing.
