An Artist Named Raccoon

Brooklyn-based illustrator and designer, Raccoon Nook not only goes by one of the coolest names I've encountered but also produces some incredible illustrative work. The Nook Universe is defined in multiple facets, from anime and urban settings, to space exploration and indulgence. The artist creates an ambrosial experience for his viewers. Nook is currently the art director at Süperfad NYC.

When I first came across the work of Nook, I immediately drew a connection to the incredible Japanese animator, writer and director, Hayao Miyazaki. Miyazaki is renowned for his award-winning film Spirited Away as well as his other inspiring works: Ponyo, Howl's Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke and more. I would love to see these two artists collaborate, in the future.
