Theo Gosselin is an amateur photographer from Paris. His photographs are full of young enthusiasm and youthful romance as he documents the hipster movement in France.

I really like the mood in these pictures!
Great pictures….lots of feelings looking at them. Good Job!
anyone know Ken, he’s been here a few times and convinced me I should stop in but he knows I am a lot more shy then he is so don’t know if I shoud be here or if he was just teasing me. If you knew him you would know what I mean
These pictures are beautiful.
A French hipster is just too much. The coolness cancels, …or at least becomes Jerry Lewis.
There is more art in these photos than some museums I have been through.
im sure you’re at that level to judge the works of those that are hanging in museums.
Shut the fuck up, I’m sure you aren’t at that level either
Your mamma wears sketchers!
its funny, sexy, creative. i love it!!!
Shut ur mouth
The great lack of Christian faith. Beautiful room, but empty soul. Redemp.
You’re a fucking idiot. Go hang from a cross.
yeah crucify yourself do us a favor
Religion have created a buch of ignorants
Amen to that
Just because religion is flawed, doesn’t mean that Jesus is. You can make fun of one, but don’t lump them together like the ignorant who only seek to tear down the beliefs of others.
we can be what we like an so can you so just stop picking on people.
Not necessarily. This is addressed to the person who said “we can be what we like an so can you so just stop picking on people.” Unfortunately I can’t post it there, so this will have to do. How can you tell them to stop picking on people when this is exactly ehat you are doing?? Attacking somebody about their religion because they think that the pictures are lacking! I disagree with Tomek and think they are mainly very beautiful, but leave them alone for goodness sake!
i have no words to describe your photos, they’re amazing
I want to be there, breaks my heart to be so far away. mentally & physically.
being able to convince girls to let you take pictures of their body and then putting a filter over it doesn’t automatically make you a great photographer! this guy doesn’t seem to have a very strong sense of composition. of all these, i’d say (for what little my personal opinion is worth) the one with the two guys in bed and the one with the guy on the train are the only ones really worth posting. he gives his subjects a bit of space and you can actually see what’s going on in the photos there, but the rest is just some serious instagram-tier, staged, posey bullshit.
it looks pretty neat though
Seems that I’ve gotten my daily dose of hipster out of the way early today. Obviously I don’t know any of the people in these photos, but they all appear as though they are jobless leaches (“artists”, perhaps) who haven’t showered in days. I used to think i hated hippies, but I was wrong – hipsters are far more annoying.
Get a job, take a shower, and stop being so dang moody!
YES!!! Thank you! I fuckin hate hipsters. They’re all like ” I’m not part of normal society. I’m my own creation. But, I hang out with others like me, who look like me, and we do the same things together”. SO no…you’re not more special or unique than anyone else. You’re still following someone else’s footsteps. It’s human nature to “belong” and be part of a group. And second of all, stop smoking cigarettes you dumb fucks. At least, go “organic” like really fuckin hipsters and smoke some weed. At least you 1 chemical in there and it gets you high. And your lungs will hate you a little less down the road. And every hipster I’ve met or known, are all depressed. Well actually, make themselves believe they’re depressed. Get off your ass, and go work for something that’ll make you happy. Getting drunk and doing drugs and partying all the time won’t make any difference. How about improving someone else’s life for a change rather than bumming on society’s hard worked and earned money. I knew this couple that went to a homeless shelter for free food because, hey, fuck it why not. It’s free isn’t it? That’s pretty low. Oh, and how about you stop taking pictures of yourselves and maybe take pictures or people in the real world. Who are maybe actually suffering or are in pain. And then, after you take their picture, ask them what they would want more than anything in the world and see if you could help out. I can go on forever about hipsters…And before any of you have anything to say to me, I’m dating a woman who used to be a “hipster”. And even she agrees with me.
If your girlfriend stopped being a “hipster” now that it’s cool, she is still a hipster. Also, maybe you should get off your high horse and take a look at yourself. No one is special or original, and neither are your words. At least the photographer displays a level of understanding, and your response to this understanding is anger. I’m surprised you got through your statement without thinking, “Am I really contributing to anything besides negativity?”
No one is special or original? Well you’re a dumb. Science would prove you wrong. Oh but that’s right, I should get off my high horse and appreciate the photographer’s “level of understanding”. And what exactly might that be? Understanding a hipster? I understand everything there is to be a hipster. Basically just a person who’s trying to run away from their issues instead of trying to face them. And, misery loves company right? So the more the better. Self medicate (drugs and alcohol) and self destruct (cigarettes and partying) with an excuse that they’re better than everyone else, that the problems they have are caused by society and the government. But in reality, a hipster is nothing but a lost and broken person who just needs help and clear mind (drug free). Have some real friends who won’t bullshit them in their time of need. Surround yourself in a drug-free and alcohol-free environment for a little while. Hipster is nothing but a modern day hippie. Trying to solve global problems with “love” and weed. It just doesn’t work. Hard work, honesty, and communication are they key components to everything in life.
Everyone is emaciated
Reblogged this on A Man Without Goals.
Self-indulgent camera wanking.
real something to hang on in life …eh!
this was really cool, but its supposed to be about french hipsters right? then why were all of the tatoos and writing in english….
Because english sounds cool for french, and even cooler on a tatoo. (Yes I’m french :) )
what does the tatoo say? i cant decipher it! pleaseee
No matter, what the tattoo says. Because as Andre Juno said”a tattoo is a true poetic creation and is always more than meets the eye’
This is funny because a lot of “american hipsters” have their tattoos in french, not english.
what did u use for a camera? I love the look of these pictures so much!
asking a photographer what camera he used is like telling a gourmet chef he cooked a delicious meal and asking what spatula he used. it’s not about the tools, it’s about the skills.
I would say the camera is more akin to the ingredients used in a meal so it is actually really important. The camera is one thing but the lens is the more important!
These made me want a cigarette
оригинальные работы! супер!
I find it interesting that french hipsters get their tatoos in english.
It makes me really mad when people will fall for anything. Paris is meant to be classy… whats classy about bony naked hipsters ? there are no feelings in these pictures, unless you count those of a hobo.
Who would have known? Hipster Paris… and here I thought the hipster capital was Portland Oregon :)
love the pics! so cool! makes me wanna be one :)
The naked man in front of the window looks like a big skull.
my favourite is the bedroom with the flag reflected in the mirror- unique and captivating.
I’m no art critic but I do know what I like and I don’t like these photos. I don’t feel anything at all looking at these, there’s no element of beauty or passion in any of them.
art lies in the eye of the beholder, because art has to evoke something in you and everybody thinks differently. i know that i absolutely love these photos, they make me happy and i regret that i don’t have a life like that. inspiring!
Nice pics, and you are having fun (most of the time)
Coming from a third world, working class person; this looks too much like self-indulgence. The whole collection isn’t balancing itself very well. It only tips towards the hedonistic side.
Been there done all of that already, in Texas.
Wonderful shots. This is one of those incredible collections that you just don’t want to end.
Looks like every college dropout’s instagram. Dumpy houses, slut friends, cigarettes, no jobs, old furniture. How edgy!
No offence or anything, but that is a gross generalisation, and very cynical. Try be a little positive please!
Bar the Owl with the ciggie there is nothing special about these photographs… sorry g
How are they hipsters? Da fuq. Is the kitten a hipster?
This is stupid shit…two psychos putting some stupid pictures and u fuckers call it art…morons..get a life jerks…
What i do not understood is if truth be told how you’re not actually much more
neatly-liked than you might be now. You are very intelligent.
You understand thus significantly relating to this matter, produced me individually
imagine it from so many various angles. Its
like men and women aren’t interested except it is one thing to do with Woman gaga!
Your own stuffs great. Always maintain it up!
i’m 24, i’m an indie film director living in los angeles… i can tell you first hand that it is so easy to be what it is in these photos. they’re everywhere. are they beautiful? yes. is there a better way… yes. does it take any particular insight to be a starving artist? a little, not much. a successful one? now that’s a different story
It’s not about how his work measures to other work or whether being a hipster is ok or not. It’s his life and they are just photographs. Sheesh people. He is a young man experiencing and engaging life the way he chooses in this stage of his life and he is capturing moments the way he chooses and some of us are going to find his lifestyle and photo style interesting so get over it. I was his age once and lived somewhat like he did for some years of my life and it was fun but I didn’t even think to do what he is doing and now it’s gone. So I get to look at his work with respect for his ability to capture his fleeting youthful moments and make some art with it. His work inspires me to find fresh ways to capture my now more responsible less adventurous less attractive middle aged moments…
Simply wish to say you article is as amazing. The clarity for ykur puut upp is just excellent and i could
suppose you are an expert on this subject. Well together with your
permission allow me to take hold of your RSS feed to stay
up to date with approaching post. Thank you 1,000,000
and poease keep up the enjoyable work.
I’ve been browsing online more than 2 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours.
It’s pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all
web owners and bloggers made good content as you did,the web wijll be a lot more useful than ever before.
while I do like the mood in most of these picture
with the hipster thing going so mainstream the whole thing just feels manufactured
I mean sitting in your cabin in the woods wearing your knitted sweater surrounded by dear heads kind of loses it’s appeal when fashion magazines tell you to do so.
nice images, thank you for your sharing
