Stunning Photos from National Geographic Contest

National Geographic Traveler magazine just announced the winners from its 24th annual photo contest. Over 12,000 entries were submitted from over 6,000 photographers, and the photos were taken in 152 countries around the world. The contest, overseen by a panel of expert photographers, judged  the entries on creativity and photographic quality. Here are the winners below accompanied by captions describing these amazing shots.

First Place Winner: Butterly
