Yeasayer’s Fragrant World, descended from the farthest reaches of the sound spectrum and landed on Earth yesterday.
The Brooklyn-based trio delivers an outer-worldly take on Ambient, Electro, R&B fusion with this, their third studio album. They flirt with flavors of David Bowie and grab influence from late 70′s electronica – right before Duran Duran and 1980′s pop exploded on the scene.
This feels like the darkest and most intense Yeasayer album yet and provides for a completely unique listening experience. The album will have sound spectrum nerds – like myself – giddy in their seats and smiling between their headphones.

My musical heroes and possibly my favorite band! 2 summers ago I listened to Odd Blood straight through having ZERO preconceived notions, I remember bouncing hysterically in my car with my mouth and eyes open. I was HOOKED!! Everything about them is interesting. Genre on iTunes: OTHER. Thank you Savoia for sharing with the world!!
My favorite thing about this album is they added a lot of BASS while keeping their musical integrity. Hard to do these days, but damn they did it.
