Coffee & Cigarettes Clothing Co. Releases New Line of Shirts
We introduced Adam Reiss and his enterprise business endeavor – Coffee & Cigarettes Clothing Co. – way back in February (check it out here), but we are happy to announce that they are back at it with the release of a new line of T-shirts! The company officially launched in the Fall of 2011 with 4 t-shirt designs, all influenced by the attitude and ethos of the punk scene and the aesthetic of indie music culture. Plenty of sleepless nights, an intensive commitment to unique designs and quality products, and a passion for the music scene are the qualities that have transformed Coffee & Cigarettes Co. into a clothing company that many others should envy.
Reiss explains that these designs did not just inspirationally come to him one day, but they are a result of 5 months of endless creative exploration, design, and deliberation. For two of the designs (Strange Flowers and Embrace Your Vices), Reiss worked closely with good friend Deena Freel who would send him hundreds of variations of each design, they would debate for hours – if not days – on which were best, then a plan to move forward would be made from there. Sound tedious? Maybe. But we would have to say that the hard work payed off excellently. “This process ultimately allowed for me to come up with the very best final product for each design,” said Reiss. “I think it’s for this reason that this new collection is a huge step up from the first collection–perfectionism, nervousness, A LOT of feedback, and general help from Deena.”
Like any good piece of art, Reiss hopes that each design induces the viewer to take a moment and think about it. “Whatever people take away from each design is what matters most, not what I think it means.”
ANNDDD to keep these shirts of even higher quality, only 50 of each design have been printed and the company will not be doing reprints. So if any of these shirts catch your eye, be sure to snatch one before they are gone for good! GET AFTER THEM RIGHT HERE!
