When the topic of ‘world’s most popular’ game arises, soccer dominates the conversation. Goals are scored each day not just in in the English Premier League but also on the beaches of Rio, villages of Southeast Asia, and ghettos of Eastern Europe. Television and the Internet broadcast the game at its highest level, and thus we often times overlook the game’s true birthplace– the streets.
