San Francisco Erupts After Giants Win World Series
Wait a second. What in the world just happened? Three weeks ago, the San Francisco Giants appeared to be done, down 2-0 to the Reds and facing three elimination games in Cincinnati. But in the blink of an eye, they miraculously came back to win the series.
Two weeks ago, the Giant season appeared to be over again, down 3-1 against the St. Louis Cardinals. Later SF, right? Wrong. With three wins over the Cardinals, the Giants came back to win another series, making them a perfect 6 for 6 in postseason elimination games.
It became pretty clear after beating the Cardinals: the Giants were a team of destiny.
Behind tremendous pitching, flawless defense, and clutch hitting, the Giants needed no drama in sweeping the Detroit Tigers 4-0. Again, the Giants smoked the American League competition, only this time in four games instead of five.
Following the win in Detroit, San Francisco went bonkers. Riots, fires, and lots of raging cluttered the streets of SF. Below are a series of photos and video from Detroit and SF.
