Guy Ritchie Directs Call of Duty: Black Ops II Short
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has taken up the recent trend of A-list directors shooting live action shorts for high-profile video games. CoD successfully outdid their last ad campaign starring Sam Worthington and Jonah Hill with a collaboration between agency 72andSunny and Sherlock Holmes brainiac Guy Ritchie.
The trailer is appropriately titled “Surprise” as one well-equipped assassin after another is interrupted from dispatching a mark when it turns out that they themselves have become the target. Set in a world of near-future weaponry, the short keeps zooming out to reveal more and more killers who are surprised to learn that their ambush has been ambushed. The short features Sherlock Holmes star Robert Downey Jr. and YouTube sensation FPS Russia, but not even they are safe.
